1 medium yellow onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
15 oz tomato sauce
14.5 oz crushed tomatoes
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

2. In the same pot, heat olive oil. Add chopped onion, garlic, and both bell peppers. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened.
3. Stir in tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
4. Cook rotini pasta in a separate pot according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Stir well to combine and heat through. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
Swap the ground beef with turkey or plant-based meat for dietary preferences.
Leftovers taste even better the next day as the flavors meld.
