Description

These Apple Pie Tortilla Wraps with Brown Sugar Butter are everything you love about classic apple pie, but easier and quicker. With warm spiced apple filling wrapped in a soft tortilla and toasted to golden perfection, this quick breakfast or dessert idea is perfect for cozy evenings or last-minute sweet cravings. It’s one of those easy recipes that doubles as a healthy snack or sweet food idea for gatherings, brunch, or weeknight treats.

Ingredients

4 large flour tortillas

3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced thin

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

Powdered sugar, for serving (optional)

Caramel sauce, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples begin to soften.

2. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to make a slurry. Add to apple mixture and cook for 2–3 more minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.

3. Lay tortillas flat. Divide apple mixture evenly among them, placing filling down the center.

4. Fold in sides and roll tortillas tightly like burritos. Set seam-side down.

5. In a clean skillet, melt remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add wraps seam-side down and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden.

6. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve warm.

Notes

Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith to avoid a mushy filling.

Let the apple filling cool slightly before rolling to prevent soggy tortillas.

Reheat leftovers in a skillet for the best crispy texture.
