Ingredients
1 large French baguette
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well blended.
3. Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick pieces, cutting almost all the way through but leaving the bottom intact.
4. Generously spread the garlic butter mixture between each slice and over the top of the loaf.
5. Place the prepared loaf on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
6. Remove from the oven, slice fully if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, use freshly minced garlic rather than pre-chopped or powdered.
Day-old bread works best for crisp texture.
You can add mozzarella or Parmesan before baking for a cheesy twist.
