Mini Quiches with Herbs

  • Author: Sally Roberts

Description

These Mini Quiches with Herbs are flaky, golden, and filled with a creamy blend of eggs, cheese, and fresh herbs. Whether you’re searching for quick breakfast ideas, savory snacks, or easy dinner recipes, this easy recipe is perfect for brunch spreads, lunchboxes, and party platters. Customize with your favorite mix-ins like bacon, spinach, or caramelized onions. It’s a healthy snack or elegant finger food that’s both practical and delicious.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

4 large eggs

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, chives)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup optional add-ins (bacon bits, sautéed spinach, caramelized onions)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 12 rounds to fit the muffin cups. Press each piece gently into the tin.

3. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.

4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and fresh herbs.

5. If using any optional add-ins, place them in the bottom of each pastry cup.

6. Pour the egg mixture into each cup, filling them about 3/4 full.

7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are puffed and golden, and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

8. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin. Serve warm or store as desired.

Notes

Use all-butter puff pastry for the flakiest, most flavorful crust.

Mix and match herbs to suit your taste—basil, dill, or tarragon work well too.

To make ahead, bake and refrigerate or freeze, then reheat before serving.
