Description

Quick, comforting, and full of smoky-sweet flavor, this One-Pot Smoky Honey BBQ Steak Pasta is the ultimate easy dinner idea. Made with tender steak, spiral pasta, and a honey BBQ sauce that clings to every bite, it’s a family-favorite recipe that also works great for meal prep. This hearty and delicious one-pot meal is perfect for busy weeknights or when you need quick dinner ideas with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

450g sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

250g fusilli or rotini pasta

1 cup smoky BBQ sauce

2 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, chopped

1 red bell pepper, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups beef broth

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same pot, add a bit more oil if needed, then sauté onion, garlic, and red bell pepper for 4 minutes until soft.

3. Pour in the BBQ sauce, honey, and beef broth. Stir and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.

4. Add uncooked pasta to the sauce. Stir well, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes until pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.

5. Return the cooked steak to the pot, stir to combine, and cook for another 2 minutes to heat through. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Sear steak first to lock in juices and deepen flavor.

Use rotini or fusilli to trap more sauce per bite.

Reheat with a splash of broth to restore creaminess.
