Ingredients

1 box red velvet cake mix

3 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup buttermilk

16 oz cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cup heavy cream (divided)

12 Oreo cookies, crushed

Red gel food coloring, optional

1 cup white chocolate or red candy melts

1/2 cup powdered sugar

8 whole Oreo cookies (for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the red velvet cake batter according to package instructions. Divide into two round cake pans and bake. Let cool completely.

2. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla, mix well. Gradually add 3/4 cup heavy cream and whip until fluffy. Fold in crushed Oreos.

3. Place one cake layer on a platter. Spread cheesecake filling on top. Add second cake layer and gently press down.

4. Melt white chocolate or red candy melts. Tint with red food coloring if using. Drizzle around the cake edges for the drip effect.

5. Whip remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Pipe swirls on top of the cake.

6. Top each whipped cream swirl with a whole Oreo. Sprinkle extra crushed Oreos on top.

Notes

Chill the assembled cake for at least 3 hours before serving to let the cheesecake set properly.

Use a hot knife to slice for clean layers and presentation.

You can customize the drizzle color or use chocolate ganache for variation.
