Ingredients

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup chopped pecans

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons melted butter

2 tablespoons maple syrup or corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, syrup, vanilla, and salt. Mix until sticky and fully combined.

2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.

3. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle.

4. Roll each triangle from the wide end, encasing the filling. Place on a lined baking sheet.

5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.

6. Remove from the oven and spoon remaining pecan mixture over the top. Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Be sure not to overfill the dough to prevent leaking.

Try adding a splash of bourbon or cinnamon to the filling for a fun twist.

These are best served warm, but can be reheated in the oven for next-day enjoyment.
