Great for those searching for easy dessert recipes, birthday cake pops, fun baking ideas, or quick party snacks.

Ingredients

1 9×13-inch baked cake (any flavor)

0.5 cup frosting

12 ounces white candy melts or white chocolate

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening or coconut oil (optional)

0.5 cup rainbow sprinkles

24 cake pop sticks

Instructions

1. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.

2. Gradually mix in the frosting with your hands until the texture resembles moldable dough.

3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray.

4. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes until firm.

5. Dip each stick tip into melted white chocolate, then insert halfway into each cake ball. Let set.

6. Dip each pop into melted white chocolate or candy melts, tapping off excess.

7. Immediately coat with rainbow sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

8. Place upright in a styrofoam block or cake pop stand to dry completely.

9. Serve at room temperature or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Chill the cake balls thoroughly before dipping to avoid crumbling or falling off the sticks.

Add a touch of coconut oil to candy melts for smoother coating and easier dipping.

Store leftovers in a cool, dry place or refrigerate if your kitchen is warm.
