Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon red food coloring
8 ounces cream cheese
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
1. Melt butter in a mixing bowl and stir in granulated sugar until smooth.
2. Add eggs, vanilla extract, vinegar, and red food coloring to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.
3. Stir in cocoa powder and flour until just combined. Reserve 1/4 cup of batter.
4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
5. Spread the red velvet batter into a lined baking dish.
6. Spoon cheesecake mixture on top and spread gently.
7. Add spoonfuls of the reserved red velvet batter and swirl with a knife or skewer.
8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 28–32 minutes until center is set and edges pull slightly away.
9. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
10. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
