Ingredients

2 pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)

6 cups sliced apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

1 egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

1. Roll out one pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Trim excess and chill.

2. In a bowl, toss sliced apples with sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.

4. Roll out second crust and cut into strips to create a lattice top. Crimp edges and brush with egg wash.

5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°F (190°C) and bake an additional 35–40 minutes.

6. Let pie cool at least 2 hours. Drizzle remaining caramel sauce over before serving.
