Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter softened
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup thick caramel sauce
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
1. Beat the softened butter on medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition and scraping down the bowl as needed.
3. Add the caramel sauce and beat until fully incorporated and smooth.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then beat until light and creamy.
5. Add the fine sea salt and mix briefly until evenly distributed. The frosting should be fluffy, smooth, and ready for piping or spreading.
Notes
Use thick caramel sauce to maintain a pipeable consistency.
If frosting becomes too soft, chill for 15 minutes and re-whip.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 5 days and re-whip before using.
