Ingredients
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 pound ground breakfast sausage
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
3. While the sausage is still warm, stir in cream cheese and shredded cheddar until fully melted and combined.
4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
5. Place a spoonful of the sausage filling on the wide end of each triangle.
6. Roll up the dough from wide end to tip, encasing the filling.
7. Arrange on a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
9. Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm.
Notes
Let the sausage cool slightly before mixing with cream cheese to avoid curdling.
Don’t overfill each crescent to prevent bursting during baking.
Want to spice it up? Use hot sausage or mix in diced jalapeños.
