Ingredients

450g steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

1. Pat the steak dry and cut it into bite-sized cubes (about 1.5 inches).

2. Season the cubes evenly with salt and black pepper. Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the steak in a single layer for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

4. Lower heat and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Return steak to the pan and toss with the garlic butter.

6. Sprinkle with Parmesan and allow it to melt slightly.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Letting the steak come to room temperature ensures a better sear.

Always use freshly grated Parmesan—it melts better and adds more flavor.
