Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm milk

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/3 cup strawberry jam

2 tablespoons freeze-dried strawberry powder

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Warm the milk until just lukewarm, then stir in the yeast and granulated sugar. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.

2. In a large bowl, mix the yeast mixture with the eggs, melted butter, salt, and flour until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until doubled in size.

5. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, strawberry jam, and freeze-dried strawberry powder until spreadable.

6. Roll the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.

7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 9 to 10 rolls.

8. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for 30 to 45 minutes until puffy.

9. Bake at 350°F for 22 to 27 minutes, until lightly golden and cooked through.

10. Whisk the powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a little extra strawberry powder if desired into a smooth glaze.

11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother dough and better rise.

Do not add too much flour while kneading or the rolls may turn out heavy instead of soft.

Glaze the rolls while they are still warm so the icing melts slightly into the swirls.
