Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails on)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and sear 2 minutes per side until golden and pink. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Return shrimp to skillet, add lemon juice and parsley, and toss to coat in sauce. Cook for 1 more minute until heated through.
Notes
Don’t overcook the shrimp—once they turn pink, they’re done.
Fresh parsley adds brightness, but you can substitute with chives or dill.
Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
