They are perfect for Christmas dessert ideas, quick party treats, easy holiday food ideas, no-bake-style cheesecake filling, and fun dessert recipes for family gatherings.
Ingredients
10 small flour tortillas
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup crushed candy canes
1/4 cup red and green holiday sprinkles or sanding sugar
1/3 cup chocolate sauce or melted chocolate
2 tablespoons extra graham cracker crumbs for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly warm the tortillas so they bend without cracking.
2. Brush both sides of each tortilla with melted butter.
3. Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
4. Press each buttered tortilla into the crumb mixture until coated on both sides.
5. Drape the tortillas over oven rack bars or place them between upside-down muffin cups to form taco shapes.
6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Let the shells cool completely.
7. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
8. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
9. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fluffy and smooth.
10. Pipe the cheesecake filling into the cooled taco shells.
11. Top with crushed candy canes, holiday sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle.
12. Serve soon after assembling for the crispest texture.
Notes
Let the taco shells cool completely before filling so the cheesecake cream does not melt or soften the shells.
Assemble the tacos close to serving time for the best crunch.
For extra protection against sogginess, brush a little melted chocolate inside each shell and let it set before adding the filling.
