Description

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter softened

3/4 cup brown sugar packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips divided

4 milk chocolate bars broken into pieces

1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the parchment.

2. Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until creamy.

3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder, and salt.

5. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until a soft dough forms.

6. Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.

7. Layer the milk chocolate pieces and 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the dough.

8. Spread the marshmallow creme gently over the chocolate layer.

9. Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the marshmallow layer and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top.

10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the edges are set and the top is lightly golden.

11. Cool completely before slicing. Chill for 30 to 45 minutes first for cleaner cuts.

Notes

Let the bars cool completely before slicing so the marshmallow and chocolate layers can set properly.

Use parchment paper with overhang to lift the bars out of the pan easily.

For extra neat slices, chill the bars briefly and wipe the knife clean between cuts.
