Ingredients
1 can 13.5 ounces coconut milk
1 can 15 ounces cream of coconut
1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 can 12 ounces evaporated milk
1 cup white rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch salt
2 cinnamon sticks, optional for chilling
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions
1. Add the coconut milk, cream of coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk to a blender.
2. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
3. Add the white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
4. Blend again until fully combined.
5. Pour the Coquito into clean glass bottles or jars.
6. Add cinnamon sticks to the bottles if using.
7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
8. Shake very well before serving.
9. Pour into small glasses and garnish with cinnamon or nutmeg.
Notes
Use cream of coconut, not unsweetened coconut cream, for the classic sweet Coquito flavor.
Shake the bottle before every pour because the coconut mixture and spices naturally settle as it chills.
For alcohol-free Coquito, leave out the rum and add a small splash of extra vanilla for more flavor.
