Ingredients
1 pound large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cooking spray or avocado oil spray
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Instructions
1. Pat the shrimp very dry with paper towels so the coating sticks well.
2. Add flour to one shallow bowl, beaten eggs to a second bowl, and panko, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to a third bowl.
3. Coat each shrimp in flour, dip it in egg, then press it into the seasoned panko until fully covered.
4. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
5. Arrange shrimp in a single layer, spray the tops lightly, and air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
6. Whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth.
7. Drizzle the hot shrimp with bang bang sauce, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve immediately.
Notes
Pat the shrimp completely dry before breading to keep the coating from sliding off.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket because space helps the shrimp crisp instead of steam.
