Description
These Easy Sheet Pan Pecan Pie Bars are a rich, buttery dessert with a soft shortbread-style crust and a gooey pecan filling that tastes just like classic pecan pie in bar form. Perfect for holiday dessert tables, easy dessert recipes, Thanksgiving baking, party food ideas, and make-ahead treat lovers, this easy recipe is simple to slice, serve, and share.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 large eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups pecan halves
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, and salt for the crust. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture looks crumbly, then press it evenly into the prepared pan.
3. Bake the crust for 18 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges.
4. While the crust bakes, whisk the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl until smooth.
5. Stir the pecans into the filling mixture until evenly coated.
6. Pour the pecan filling over the hot crust and spread it evenly across the pan.
7. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the center is mostly set with a slight jiggle.
8. Cool the bars completely in the pan, then chill for 30 minutes for cleaner slices.
9. Lift out using the parchment and cut into bars before serving.
Notes
Let the bars cool fully before slicing so the filling has time to set properly.
For the cleanest cuts, chill the bars briefly and use a sharp knife wiped clean between slices.
You can use chopped pecans for easier cutting or pecan halves for a more decorative top.
