Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 box 6 ounces dry stuffing mix
3/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/2 cup finely diced onion
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped optional
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
2. Add the dry stuffing mix and milk to a large bowl, then let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
3. Add the ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt.
4. Mix gently just until combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
5. Shape the mixture into an even loaf on the prepared baking sheet or press it gently into a loaf pan.
6. Stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard in a small bowl.
7. Spread the glaze over the top and slightly down the sides of the meatloaf.
8. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the center reaches 160°F.
9. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Do not prepare the stuffing mix before adding it to the meatloaf; use it dry so it can absorb moisture while baking.
Mix the meatloaf gently and stop as soon as everything is combined to keep the texture tender.
Let the meatloaf rest before slicing so the juices settle and the slices hold together cleanly.
