Description
Imagine a warm, melty wheel of brie, bubbling at the edges, and topped with sweet, sticky fig jam, crunchy pecans, and a drizzle of golden honey. Served with toasted baguette slices or crisp apple wedges, this Gooey Baked Brie with Fig Jam is the kind of appetizer that disappears within minutes at any gathering.
Ingredients
8 oz brie wheel
3 tablespoons fig jam
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
crackers, apple slices, or baguette (for serving)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking dish or cast iron skillet with parchment paper.
2. Place the brie wheel (rind on) in the center. Spread the fig jam evenly over the top.
3. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the jam. Drizzle with honey and add a few sprigs or leaves of fresh thyme.
4. Bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes until the brie is soft and gooey. Be careful not to overbake, or it may burst.
5. Remove from oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Transfer carefully to a serving board if needed.
6. Serve warm with crackers, toasted bread, or fresh fruit.
Notes
Brie is best served warm straight from the oven for maximum gooeyness.
You can prep it ahead and bake just before serving.
Use a parchment-lined skillet or dish for easier cleanup and presentation.
