Description

Holiday Bliss Christmas Peppermint Pie is a cool and creamy easy recipe that brings festive flavor to your dessert table with minimal effort. With a chocolate cookie crust, silky peppermint filling, and whipped topping finished with crushed candy canes, this holiday pie is perfect for Christmas parties, dessert ideas, food ideas, and make-ahead treats when you want a stunning seasonal dessert.

Ingredients

24 chocolate sandwich cookies

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

2 drops pink food coloring, optional

1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

1/4 cup mini white chocolate chips

1/2 cup whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and mix them with the melted butter until evenly combined.

2. Press the cookie mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish, then chill the crust for 20 minutes.

3. Beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.

4. Add the powdered sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and pink food coloring if using, then mix until fully blended.

5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.

6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until the filling is light and fluffy.

7. Spoon the filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top evenly.

8. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.

9. Before serving, decorate with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies, and mini white chocolate chips.

10. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for the richest and smoothest filling.

Chill the pie long enough so the slices hold their shape neatly when cut.

Add the peppermint candy topping just before serving to keep it crisp and colorful.
