Description

This Homemade Peanut Sauce is a quick and easy recipe that transforms simple meals into something unforgettable. Creamy, savory, and packed with flavor, it’s the perfect addition to grain bowls, spring rolls, or veggie sticks. Great for healthy snack ideas, easy dinner upgrades, or quick lunch prep. It’s an easy recipe that’s ideal for anyone looking for food ideas packed with umami and made from pantry staples.

Ingredients

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons lime juice

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

1/4 to 1/3 cup warm water

1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the creamy peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth.

2. Slowly add warm water, 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking constantly until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.

3. Stir in sriracha or chili garlic sauce to taste if you want a spicy kick. Start small and adjust.

4. Taste and adjust seasoning: add more lime juice for tang, honey for sweetness, or soy sauce for salt.

5. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

If the sauce thickens after refrigeration, whisk in warm water to thin it before serving.

For a nut-free version, substitute sunflower seed butter.

Add chopped peanuts or sesame seeds on top for extra texture when serving.
