Description

Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs are a juicy, sweet-savory easy dinner made with tender chicken thighs, pure maple syrup, garlic, Dijon mustard, and a glossy skillet glaze. This quick chicken recipe is perfect for weeknight dinner ideas, cozy family meals, meal prep food ideas, and anyone who wants a simple homemade dinner with big flavor and minimal effort.

Ingredients

6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and let the chicken sit at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Pat the chicken thighs dry, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

3. Whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic.

4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Sear the chicken skin-side down for 5 to 7 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for 2 minutes.

6. Pour the maple glaze around the chicken and let it bubble for 1 to 2 minutes.

7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 22 to 28 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F.

8. Add butter to the hot glaze, stir until melted, then spoon the sauce over the chicken.

9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Pat the chicken very dry before searing so the skin browns instead of steaming.

Pour the glaze around the chicken rather than directly over the skin to help keep the top crisp.

Use an instant-read thermometer and cook the chicken to 165°F for safe, juicy results.
