Description

This Peppermint Swirl Fudge is a creamy, festive, no-bake dessert that brings rich chocolate, smooth white chocolate swirls, and crunchy peppermint candy together in every bite. It is an easy recipe for Christmas dessert trays, holiday food ideas, edible gifts, quick desserts, party sweets, and simple make-ahead treats when you want something beautiful without baking.

Ingredients

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

1 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

Instructions

1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.

2. Add semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt to a saucepan.

3. Warm over low heat, stirring often, until melted, glossy, and smooth.

4. Remove from the heat and stir in vanilla extract and peppermint extract.

5. Spread the chocolate fudge mixture evenly into the prepared pan.

6. Melt the white chocolate chips gently in the microwave in short bursts, stirring between each one.

7. Spoon the melted white chocolate over the fudge and swirl with a toothpick or thin knife.

8. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the top and press lightly so they stick.

9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

10. Lift the fudge from the pan, slice into small squares, and serve chilled or at cool room temperature.

Notes

Use low heat when melting the chocolate so the fudge stays smooth and does not turn grainy.

Do not over-swirl the white chocolate, or the marbled look will blend too much.

For cleaner slices, chill the fudge fully and wipe the knife between cuts.
