Description

These Pizza Sliders are a quick dinner, easy recipe, and one of the best food ideas for busy weeknights, game day spreads, and casual family gatherings. Made with soft slider rolls, pizza sauce, gooey mozzarella, and pepperoni, they bake up golden, cheesy, and packed with classic pizza flavor, making them perfect for dinner ideas, party food, easy lunch leftovers, and crowd-pleasing comfort food.


Ingredients

12 slider rolls

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

24 slices pepperoni

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms attached. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.

3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.

4. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

5. Layer the pepperoni evenly over the cheese.

6. Top with the remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese.

7. Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.

8. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

9. Brush the seasoned butter over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

10. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

11. Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 7 more minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.

12. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes, then cut and serve warm.

Notes

Use a light layer of sauce so the rolls stay soft without getting soggy.

Bake covered first to melt the cheese, then uncover to brown the tops nicely.

Let the sliders rest a few minutes before slicing so the cheese stays in place better.
