This easy recipe is packed with protein, makes a great dinner idea, and doubles as an impressive dish for guests. A creamy garlic pasta dish like this also fits right into your list of quick meals, comfort food recipes, or simple seafood options.

Ingredients

12 oz cheese tortellini

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Boil the cheese tortellini in salted water according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove from pan and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add more butter if needed and stir in the minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.

6. Add the cooked tortellini and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

7. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Serve hot and enjoy every creamy, garlicky bite!

Notes

Pat the shrimp dry before searing for the best texture and color.

Use fresh garlic instead of pre-minced for maximum flavor.

Add a splash of white wine or lemon juice to the sauce for an extra layer of brightness.
