Description
This Simple Brownie In A Mug is a warm, fudgy, chocolate-packed dessert you can make in minutes with pantry staples and one microwave-safe mug. It is perfect for a quick dessert, easy snack, late-night chocolate craving, simple food idea, small-batch sweet treat, and easy recipe when you want homemade brownie flavor without baking a full pan.
Ingredients
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons neutral oil
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Add the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a 10 to 12 ounce microwave-safe mug.
2. Stir the dry ingredients well until the cocoa powder is evenly mixed and no large lumps remain.
3. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the mug.
4. Stir until the batter is smooth and no dry flour is stuck at the bottom.
5. Fold in most of the chocolate chips, then sprinkle the rest on top.
6. Microwave for 60 to 75 seconds, starting with 60 seconds and adding a few seconds only if needed.
7. Let the brownie rest for 1 to 2 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
Use a mug that holds at least 10 to 12 ounces so the batter has room to rise.
Do not overcook the brownie; the center should look slightly soft because it will continue to set as it rests.
For a richer dessert, top with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, whipped cream, or extra chocolate chips.
