Description

Snickers Rice Crispy Treats are a quick dessert packed with gooey caramel, crunchy peanuts, creamy chocolate, and chewy cereal layers. This easy no-bake recipe is perfect for party desserts, holiday treats, sweet snack ideas, and simple food ideas when you want a crowd-pleasing dessert without turning on the oven.


Ingredients

6 tablespoons butter

10 ounces mini marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

11 ounces soft caramel candies, unwrapped

3 tablespoons heavy cream

1 cup salted peanuts

2 cups milk chocolate chips

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter


Instructions

1. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely smooth.

3. Remove from the heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.

4. Press the cereal mixture gently into the prepared pan in an even layer.

5. In a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan, melt the caramel candies with the heavy cream until smooth.

6. Spread the caramel evenly over the cereal layer.

7. Sprinkle the salted peanuts over the caramel and press them in lightly.

8. Melt the milk chocolate chips with the peanut butter until smooth.

9. Spread the chocolate mixture over the peanut layer.

10. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until set.

11. Lift from the pan, slice into 16 bars, and serve.

Notes

Use low heat when melting the marshmallows so the cereal layer stays soft and chewy.

Let the bars sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.

Store with parchment between layers to keep the caramel and chocolate from sticking.
