Ingredients
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
1/4 cup melted butter (for topping)
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1. Peel and chop sweet potatoes. Boil until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes. Drain and let cool.
2. Mash sweet potatoes in a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, eggs, vanilla, milk, and salt. Mix until smooth.
3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, chopped pecans, and cinnamon to make a crumble topping.
5. Sprinkle topping evenly over the sweet potato layer.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes or until topping is golden and crisp.
7. Let cool slightly and serve warm.
